So keep reading and discover the most recent wedding trends for the upcoming year. Spoiler: you’re going to love them!
2017 Colour Schemes
Pantone 2016 introduced the heavenly colour combination of Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue, which is essentially a soft blush pink and pale blue. Although this delightful duo was used throughout 2016 it seems that it’s around to stay for the long-haul, with wedding themes in 2017 based around pink and blue colour palettes.
Waterfall Wedding Bouquets
Neat and tidy bouquets are now a thing of the past: the wilder, the better. 2017 is all about waterfall bouquets with lots of cascading foliage and greenery. This bouquet style is beautifully natural, particularly for Spring and Summer.
Totally Tropical Theme
Have you ever considered a tropical wedding theme? You’ll see it throughout 2017 with an abundance of hot pink, lush green and bright yellow accents. This is the perfect choice if you’re planning an exotic destination wedding or even if you want to bring the sunshine to your special day in the cold Winter months! Work in lots of pineapple-themed décor and of course, some tasty Pina Coladas!
Gone are the days of matching bridesmaid dresses. Ladies are now rocking the stylish mix and match trend and we absolutely love it. However, there’s a new bridesmaid trend in town! Two piece ensembles aren’t just for brides and it appears that more and more bridesmaids are donning chic separates. Your girls will absolutely love the idea of wearing a two-piece ensemble, and it means they can wear both the top and skirt after the big day too.
Marble and Metallic
The marble wedding trend was gradually introduced throughout 2016 and it works wonderfully with an urban warehouse venue. Team it with cool copper details and industrial elements and you’ve got yourself a seriously stylish wedding. 2017 is going to embrace chic industrial vibes completely, so watch out for those edgy, gritty weddings!
Copper mugs are the new mason jars! Although brides and grooms once loved cute mason jars for drinks, it seems that couples are now favouring chic metallic reception décor. Keep your tablescape looking coordinated by opting for bronze or copper cutlery and plates.
DIY or self-serve cocktail bars are going to be huge in 2017. Why not make it personal to you and your partner by choosing two signature cocktails? Your guests can help themselves throughout the reception, accessorising their drinks with straws and fruit.
